4 months old!

Normally, I would say.."I can't believe he is 4 months old!!".  But actually, it's more like....He is only 4 months old??  I feel like he has been with us for forever.  And I love it.

We have turned the corner on the crazy, crying newborn stage and finally in the happy baby stage!  I know you will ask and no, he is not sleeping through the night.  Not even close.  But he is only awake to nurse for about 15 min and back to sleepy time without even a peep.  Hey, I can handle that.

He is super strong and will basically spin himself in a circle when on his tummy!  He has completely forgotten how to roll to his back from his tummy...but no worries (edited to add...he just rolled over twice today!  I guess he remembered!).  I am sure he will remember eventually!  His smile is CONTAGIOUS.  And he does so with his entire body and soul.  We used to say he was an unhappy old soul...now I am pretty sure his soul is beaming with joy.

We have his 4 month well exam this week so I will post stats and shot reactions.  Needless to say, this little man is pretty awesome.

How could I forget?

All the kiddos together.  Definitely couldn't get them all looking at me at once, but i think that adds a little charm, don't you?

A couple things I forgot to add in my last post as well...and these I won't want to forget.  Anna kept saying, "sequa" all weekend.  What is that you ask?  Beats me.  Thought it was "circle" but she says, "cir-cle" very emphatically.  Sailboat?  Sequins?  Square?  Still figuring it out!

Everyone was pretty impressed with Anna's language skills.  Ryan even asked his mom, "How old is Anna?"  To which Kristen said, "Almost two.".  And Ryan says, "She talks like a three year old".  :)

Labor Day Weekend

We packed up the kids and dogs and headed to my parents house for labor day weekend.  I was so excited as Kristen was finally getting to meet Graham and I was getting to love on her kiddos!  First thing Saturday morning after a little gameday? POOL!

The Thompson Clan

A couple of my favorite pictures from the weekend are the ones of Anna jumping to her Poppa. She had no fear and put all her faith in probably one of her favorite people. (her top was removed due to a yogurt smoothie gone arwy)

Anna's word for sunglasses is "cool!".  And that she is.

After pool time came lunch and NAPS.  Which allowed the rest of us to watch some AUBURN football!  WAR EAGLE!!  Pretty sure we had a heart attack during that game.

Things I love about gathering family for a fun weekend is being relaxed, watching the kids together, laughing, and just catching up.  I love the kids table.  They all seem so grown up as they sit in their little chairs, eating with their little forks and just carrying on like little people.

I just love this photo..the light coming in...sweet little hands and faces staring out the front door...
The dogs were troopers, as usual.

We then gave the kids ice cream cones and set them up for a little photo op.  I hope they will look back at these and say, "Hey!  Look how little we were?  And Graham was so young, he wasn't even in the picture yet!"

Sweet Andrew

Ryan, who is 5, has truly become the little ring leader.  He is so sweet with the kids.  Always checking on each of them, reading stories and just being the best "Big Bro".

One of my favorite things from the weekend was Ryan letting me know that he woke up Anna in the mornings.  (Ryan was in the top bunk and Anna on the bottom).  He said he tapped her on the shoulder until she woke up and said, "Good Morning!" and then crawled in bed with her to talk about the day.  Seriously, how sweet is that?

Wash the day away...
Because we were in no hurry on Sunday, we decided to head to Red Top Mountain State Park to walk on the trails and hit the beach.  Anna insisted that Poppa and Daddy hold her hands.

Everything really was all about Poppa this weekend.  And I think he was glad to oblige.

Not to forget sweet little Graham.  He was such a trooper on his first away game appareance.

John and I got to catch a date night on Sunday night, but realizing everything was closed, we headed home afterwards.  Somewhat lame-o but still good to get out just the two of us.

Monday we stopped at the Tennessee Aquarium!  We debated whether or not to stop so we turned back to Anna and said, "Do you want to see the fish?".  She said, "YEA YEA!".  Well, that made our decision easy.  I didn't bring the camera but wish I had...her excitement was palpable.

Thank you Mom and Dad for an amazing weekend!!
