Sweet Anna. You are 2!

Anna,

You will be two years old tomorrow.  I guess we always believed people when they say your kids grow up in the blink of an eye...and we learned this weekend, that this statement is so sadly true.  You have changed our world in two short years.  You make us laugh, cry tears of happiness, and create the largest grins on both mine and your dads faces.

Not only are you stinkin' adorable, you are smart as a whip.  Your vocabulary is growing with every day.  You are putting together two and three word sentences and "correcting" your own pronunciation daily.  <---- this one makes me sad a bit.  Just today you were saying slowly to yourself, "Blank...blanki...Mommy, want blankie!".  Until today, you would say "digi" for blanket.  Can you say "digi" for me just one more time?

We celebrated your first two years of life over the past weekend.  All your playgroup friends arrived at Monkey's Treehouse on Friday afternoon and we continued the celebration on Saturday with family.  It was amazing weekend filled with lots of love, presents, amazing weather and did I mention the LOVE?!

At Monkey Treehouse  L to R: Lucca, Brady, Sophie B., Emily, Ryan, Andrew, YOU!, and Jake

Singing Happy Birthday!

Blowing out your candles.  Make a wish sweet girl.

Opening presents like a champ!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I hope you know how much you are loved.

It seemed like yesterday you came into this world.  All 7lbs 15 oz of you.  You made a small squeek and snuggled right into my chest.  I became a new person.  I became your mom.  And I became me.

Mad skills...

Well, not really.  I realized I am not that great at working my camera.  I get frustrated but yet don't take the time to READ MY MANUAL.  Then I realized.  Although I might not have mad camera skills, I have pretty decent photoshop skills.  Example.

Sweet Graham before Photoshop:

Better right?  Sticking to my day job.

They say

They say "9 months on..9 months off" when referring to that not so fun, but oh so necessary baby weight.  Well, 4 months in and  I have 6.8 lbs to go!  I can tell you that I gained 40lbs with Graham (I will not share that final number with you...as it is scary, very scary).  Finding the time to exercise is exhausting in itself but my walks/runs are getting in there.  I may only have 7 ish pounds to go, but my wardrobe is still no where near jumping back on this bod.  How is that possible??  Oh that's right.  2 babies in 19 months leaves wider hips and a little belly that isn't budging.  But you know, these are my trophies to wear.  My "battle scars", my "mommy marks".  I will take them any day if I got these two kids out of it.

Last time when I stopped breastfeeding Anna, I lost an additional 10lbs.  This is my goal again.  Get to my pre-pregnancy weight, then chop off an additional 10-15lbs.

Just stop forgetting to eat and then stopping for a quick drive through meal.  I have to keep repeating this to myself....some days are better than others.
