Talk about a runners high.
I actually teared up twice during the run. Once when I realized i was actually going to finish it and again when I saw John at the finish line. And then maybe once again when I told him I never breaked, never stopped running.
When I ran my first 5k in Jan of 2010, I wasn't really trained or prepped and I did it by myself. I think I finished around 45 min and did a LOT of walking. This time my goal was to finish by 38 minutes. I don't know my official time but by my watch, I finished right around 37 min and 15 seconds. My splits were about 10:30/11:15/11:28 mpm...so i am anxious to actually run 3 miles in my neighborhood (which is very flat) to see if I am actually a bit faster.
Well, I am hooked. And so is John. We are planning for a 10k in April!
